Each chair is made with 100% high density polyethylene (HDPE)  “poly” material mainly from milk jugs and containers otherwise known as #2 Plastic. Absolutely ZERO wood fibers are used in our chairs. Around 32 pounds of plastic go into each POLYCHAIR™, equivalent to around 250 reclaimed milk jugs. Through the years, together we have helped save thousands of pounds of plastic from ending up in landfills or our planet’s oceans. 

POLYCHAIR™ is comfortable and durable in all seasons. The chair’s surface is smooth to the touch and will not splinter like wood. It requires no painting or sealing. It can be cleaned with common household cleaners and water. Colorant permeates throughout every piece and the color is Ultra-Violet (UV) stabilized to minimize fading. POLYCHAIR™ is waterproof and rot resistant making it a great all-weather alternative to outdoor wood furniture. 

Each POLYCHAIR™ is assembled with stainless steel hardware and can be left outdoors in all seasons. POLYCHAIR™ weighs more than thin injection molded plastic chairs, so it will not blow away as easily in windy conditions. POLYCHAIR™ is ideal for many environments including the backyard, at the beach, on the patio or by the pool.

What is a POLYCHAIR™ made of?

Is a POLYCHAIR™ made with wood fibers?
No. POLYCHAIR™ is TREE FREE! Each POLYCHAIR™ is built with 100% solid HDPE polymer material and no wood fibers are used. POLYCHAIR™ is smooth to the touch and will not splinter like wood.

Do I have to paint my POLYCHAIR™? Will it rot when exposed to moisture?
No. POLYCHAIR™ requires no painting or sealing. POLYCHAIR™ will not absorb moisture. POLYCHAIR™ is waterproof and rot resistant.

Do I have to put my POLYCHAIR™ in storage during the winter? Also, how do I care for my furniture?
Your POLYCHAIR™ can be left outdoors in all seasons and does not require seasonal storage. POLYCHAIR™ can be gently scrubbed with a sponge or soft brush and soap and water. A pressure washer can be used for tough grim, being sure not to exceed 1,200 PSI. 

Do you ship outside of the USA?
No, currently we only sell and ship products to the lower 48 states of the United States of America.

Will I need to assemble my POLYCHAIR™?
Each POLYCHAIR™ ships in a box with minimal assembly required. The main components such will arrive individually assembled (the seat, back, arm rests and leg). You will need to final assemble each product with the fasteners we provide. Pre-drilled holes are provided for alignment. POLYCHAIR™ includes the required fasteners and step by step assembly instructions. 

Is a POLYCHAIR™ comfortable?
POLYCHAIR™ is designed with comfort in mind. POLYCHAIR™ features a specially angled seat and angled back design to provide comfort and relaxation.
